BEAN AND BAILEY Family Friendly Comedy
Bean and Bailey is made up of Bradley Bean and Jackson Bailey. Bradley and Jackson met in 1992 at Carson-Newman College where they were both freshmen living in the same dorm. Along with mutual friends, they began using their leisure time in the dorm to make humorous videos and comedy sketches. This led to official "shows" where the group of 5 guys (brilliantly named "Give Me 5") would entertain high school students who were visiting the college. "Give Me 5" soon began performing for faith-based events as well as regular campus events at Carson-Newman College.
In 1996 with graduation fast approaching, 3 of the 5 guys decided it was time to leave the group. This left "Bean and Bailey", the remaining 2 members, with a choice to make: Either let the comedy performing come to an end, or figure out a way to turn a 5-man show into a 2-man show. It didn't take long for Bean and Bailey to realize that this 2-man idea could work well, and they immediately received warm responses from local audiences.
It was 1999 when Bean and Bailey began the transition to comedy as a profession, as they were given an opportunity to take their show to college campuses across the country. From 4 campus shows in 1999 to about 40 campus shows in 2000, Bean and Bailey were on their way to a professional career and thus needed to consider leaving their other employment. Bradley resigned from his 3rd grade teaching job, and Jackson transitioned out of his job at a television station where he had served as the "Kids Club" host.
Now with over 10 years of professional comedy under their belt, Bean and Bailey have taken their laughter act all across the U.S. and Canada. Bean and Bailey are being enthusiastically received as a refreshing alternative in today's field of comedy. Most refreshing is that their comedy is Family Friendly.
THE SHOW:
A Bean and Bailey show includes everything from stand-up comedy to musical songs and parodies, all wrapped up in a friendship between Bean (an organized conservative personality) and Bailey (a random free spirit). They discuss all the important things of life, such as: Wal-Mart Greeters, American History, Love, Dating, Marriage, Doughnuts, Michael Jackson and Elvis just to name a few.
What will they come up with next? From the responses they are getting from their appearance on the first season of NBC's "America's Got Talent", their current play on Satellite XM radio, and their performances for countless faith based organizations, college campuses, and corporations, we are sure you'll be seeing a lot of Bean and Bailey!
