You know Carlos Alazraqui. You've heard him in some of your favorite TV shows, seen his performance in movies, laughed at his creations morphed into animated characters for Nickelodeon such as Rocko in Rocko's Modern Life, Lube and Winslow in Cat/Dog and most recently fell in love with his feisty Chihuahua dialogue for Taco Bell commercials.
Carlos is from Northern California, and began his career as a stand-up comedian, winning the prestigious San Francisco International Stand-Up Competition. Soon after, he moved to Los Angeles where he was an ensemble cast member on the Stephanie Miller Show, a syndicated show for Buena Vista Television.
Carlos Alazraqui has also appeared on Hollywood Squares, Make Me Laugh, Penn and Teller's Sin City and most recently his solo show entitled This is a Size Six and This is Your Head, which had a four month run at the Los Angeles Theatre at the lmprov, and has played all over the Los Angeles area including the HBO Workspace, the Odyssy Theatre, Luna Park and the Acme Comedy Theatre. Portions of the show aired on Si TV and was seen in San Antonio, Texas at the Latino Laugh Festival. Other animated series include Detention and the new Fox hit Family Guy.
Polly Warfield, critic for Back Stage West/Drama-Logue said that, "Carlos is anyone or anything he wants to be..."
Carlos' career encompasses as wide a range as the characters he portrays in his show; from Jackie's alter ego on That 70's Show to the Scottish cab driver on Men Behaving Badly, or the Latin lover Tony Montana in the feature film The Godson to the cocaine addicted villain, scum bag record executive Ronney Orlando in the recently released film Dirt Merchant. You can also hear him as the Voice Guy Extraordinaire on ABC's radio show The Stephanie Miller Show, which will soon be heard countrywide.
His new comedy series Random Acts of Comedy with host David Allen Grier, plays nightly on the Fox Family Channel. Carlos was proud to be a presenter at last year's prestigious Alma Awards and enjoys giving back to his community by working with the LA Special Olympics and Oakland's Children's Hospital.
