CLETUS T JUDD Southern Comedian
On his follow-up to his smash "I Stoled This Record," Cledus T. Judd asks the immortal question, "Did I Shave My Back For This?" During the last 18 months Cledus has trucked a lot of miles, made a lot of videos and achieved unique success as the court jester of Country. His video hits, "If Shania Was Mine," "(She's Got A Butt) Bigger Than The Beatles," and "Cledus Went Down To Florida," have established him as a genuine force in the Country world, as artists like Shania Twain, Joe Diffie, Charlie Daniels and David Ball have all made guest appearances in his videos. Multiple nominations for Country Weekly's Golden Pick Award and a nomination for a TNN/Music City News Award have further cemented his status as a country parody master, bar none.
Cledus T. Judd's new album picks up where "Stoled" left off with all of the comic genius precisely intact. Targets on "Did I Shave My Back For This?", includes Garth, Trace Adkins, Deana Carter, Brooks & Dunn, Mindy McCready, Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, Trisha Yearwood and Alan Jackson. And Cledus originals like "Hankenstein," and "First Redneck On The Internet" (featuring country legend Buck Owens), exhibit the immense growth Cledus has undertaken over the last couple of years.
Razor & Tie is excited about the new release and can't wait to unleash a new Cledus album on an unsuspecting public. Comments co-label head Cliff Chenfeld, "Cledus is a star and a legend in his and our minds. With our new major distribution (BMG), the possibilities for this wreckage are endless." "Did I Shave My Back For This?" is scheduled for release on March 24, 1998. Get your razors ready!
