DAN GABRIEL
Filipino Funnyman
Filipino funnyman Dan Gabriel had too many other students in the dorms of UC Davis laughing hysterically to not try stand-up. So sophomore year he began hitting the open mic circuit in Sacramento. After graduation he moved back to the Bay Area to climb the ranks of the San Francisco comedy scene. Since then Dan has worked his way from humble opening act to nationally touring headliner.
Dan's humor is clean, clever, laid back and irreverent. The jokes sneak up on the audience and goose them. He can tailor his act to fit the situation by dipping into his wealth of material or talk to the crowd and spin their foibles into gold. He is a must see laugh conductor playing at a club or college near you.
Dan has appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, CBS's Star Search, NBC's Late Friday just to name a few. He was an award winning writer for Thugs on Film on BBC America and the Winner of the L.A. Take Out Comedy Competition. Take Out opened the doors for Dan to co-develop and host the hit first season of Asia Street Comedy, on AZN TV. Dan is also a Scorpio who enjoys pina coladas and getting caught in the rain.
