DICK HARDWICK
Exciting things began to happen after Dick Hardwick became a first-round comedy champion on Ed McMahon's "Star Search." He made an appearance in Jackie Gleason's last motion picture, "Nothing in Common," co-starring Tom Hanks, landed a role in "Reckless Kelly," a motion picture for Warner Bros. and scored a coveted TV performance for Bud Friedman on A&E's "An Evening At The Improv." Then, a dream came true: Dick Hardwick, also an accomplished musician, played on "The Missing Years," John Prine's latest record which received the Grammy Award for "Best Folk Album."
Dick Hardwick has also made numerous appearances behind and in front of the camera. His stand-up has been seen on VH1 comedy shorts, The Fox Network's "Comedy Express," the Disney Channel's "A Disney Family Album," "The Today Show," the Family Channel's "Stand Up Comics Take A Stand" and "America's Funniest People." He's also a wonderful live studio audience warm-up comedian, logging 48 episodes for The Arthur Company at Universal Studios on their syndicated sitcoms "The Munsters Today" and "What A Dummy." They cast Hardwick in featured acting rolls on both shows as well. This exposure tipped other clients to Hardwick's funny talents.
The corporate industrial film market has also discovered Dick Harwick's abilities. He's just completed an innovative video tutorial, with a comedic slant, for Microsoft's® WindowsTM computer operating system.
Dick Hardwick has several national and regional television commercials to his credit and is regularly heard by millions of rush hour listeners on Los Angeles radio station KLOS with Geno Mitchilini on his "5 O'clock Funnies." Energy is what Dick Hardwick is all about.
Dick Hardwick's comedy never misses and this has made him a surefire opening act for such major super stars as Kenny Rogers and Reba McEntire. Hardwick has shared the stage with Broadway's Joel Grey and Rita Moreno, Motown's Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, The Four Tops and The Spinners, country music's Tammy Wynette, Larry Gatlin, Ronnie Milsap and Collin Raye, rock legends The Everly Brothers and Dick's good friends, The Righteous Brothers. Hardwick's also a favorite in the main room at The Nugget in Reno/Sparks, Nevada, most recently fronting for Les Miserable's Gary Morris. Dick Hardwick's humor has recently been heard internationally at Canada's 10-day Calgary Stampede grandstand extravaganzas.
