JEFFREY STEELE
A familiar face on the corporate scene, Jeffrey demonstrates his skills often for Proctor & Gamble, Motorola, Disney Studios and Price Water House just to name a few.
Comedy & magic has captivated Jeffrey since the age of 14 when his mom started dropping him off at a local pizza hangout. There he challenged customers for 2 hours each night and honed his skills. In addition, he had his first taste of earning money doing what he loved - entertaining. Smitten, he began performing magic regularly for family and friends until he was 21.
Though he grew up around the motion picture industry, it wasn't until 1983 Jeffrey made the decision to become a Hollywood stuntman. Though successful and working regularly, he decided to be true to his calling finding it more gratifying and sometimes safer, performing his comedy & magic than being set on fire and lunging out of a seven story window. Some of his credits during this foray include HOOK, JFK, LETHAL WEAPON 3, and THE SPECIALIST.
Jeffrey knows that his true "magic" is his ability to entertain and make people laugh. They are very much a part of the act, both involved and confounded. Though he loves being in front of the camera, Jeffrey says, "When you miss your mark it's an inconvenience". "CUT - TAKE 2". However, when you're in front of a live audience and you quite literally "screw up", then that's when the fun really starts. How good a performer you are depends on your ability to keep the show going and still keep the audience amused and accepting your credibility. Jeffrey's engaging personality is high energy and regularly baffles and delights his audience. He has amazed many, not only with his comedy & magic but also with his pick pocketing skills as well. Often he produces from his pocket a "Audience Members" personal wrist watch. Would you trust this guy?
Preparing his performance at the New Otani Hotel in Little Tokyo, he taught himself to speak Japanese... well just a little! His Japanese audiences were delighted and Jeffrey feels that this experience has really helped him to broaden his performance skills, preparing him to be an international performer.
Besides being a single father of three great kids, today Jeffrey is A national headliner in the stand-up circuit and performs in clubs like, The Improv, The Icehouse, and The Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach. A few of his heroes include Robin William's, and Harry Anderson, a comedy magician who played "Judge Stone" on Night Court. Steele is also one of the most sought out performers for Fortune 500 Company's performing mainly at Trade Shows and User Conferences across the country. His very fast paced high interactive stand-up comedy & magic is always a hit.
