JOEY VAN

Joey won a Variety Entertainer of the Year Award for work achieved in a single year, including successful appearances as the lead in "Honey," directed by Pulitzer Prize winner Charles Gordone, and as a regular on "Super Circus," an ABC-TV affiliated production. The award also recognized Joey's success as a top-name attraction at supper clubs and many special events. The following year Joey won AFTRA's TV Host of the Year Award for his work on the NBC-TV affiliated show "Saturday Rock."

Touring the U.S. and abroad, Joey has enjoyed successful engagements at the world's best supper clubs, including Harrah's in Tahoe and Reno, the Fountainbleu in Miami, the Blue Max and Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago, the Playboy Club in Los Angeles and New York, and many, many more. Joey performs in all areas of show business, including television, radio, concerts, conventions, resorts, state and county fairs, and major cruise lines. Network television credits include The Joey Bishop Show, Norm Crosby's Comedy Shop, the Merv Griffin show, The Dennis Wholley Show, and "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century." Joey is also constantly involved in commercial, film and voice-over work.

Joey has performed with entertainers Roy Clark, Sammy Davis Jr., Barbara Mandrell, Ray Charles, Ben Vereen, The Oak Ridge Boys, Phyllis Diller, and the Smothers Brothers, just to name a few. Joey performed for members of the White House News Photographers Association at their 65th Annual Awards Dinner in Washington D.C. In attendance as guests of honor were the President and First Lady.

Joey's show is clean, fast-paced and imaginative. It can be structured from 20 to 60 minutes in length to suit any occasion. Joey entertains his audience with a combination of zany one-liners, funny musical impressions, on-the-mark characterizations and audience participation. Joey adapts his show to fit any audience, whatever the size or age group.

Joey Van brings with his performance a wealth of experience from his 25 years in show business. Versatility and dynamics are key words in describing this entertainer. Comedy, impressions, acting, singing-Joey does them all and wins new fans at every performance.
