As a trailblazer, Slocumb is the first African-American comedian to be warmly received by churches to share his gift of laughter with worldwide congregations of varied denominations. He has recently joined George Wallace and others in Bill Dukes film "Living in the Spirit Revue," a documentary which focuses on quality family entertainment.
The National Urban League's 2002 National Conference attendees were thrilled at the live performance given by this consummate entertainer along with Stephanie Mills and George Benson.
