KEVIN JAMES Star of The King of Queens
Kevin James, like so many sitcom stars before him, got his start in the world of stand-up comedy. Shortly after attending Cortland State in New York, he began going to clubs with this brother, stand-up comic Gary Valentine, and found that he had a real knack for comedy. After performing on The Tonight Show, Kevin James got his big break at the 1996 Just For Laugh Montreal Comedy Festival and was chosen as a recurring cast member for the CBS hit comedy Everybody Loves Raymond, with his friend, Ray Romano.
Kevin James hosted the 1998 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and was also a presenter at the 1999 Peoples Choice Award and the 1999 American Comedy Awards. Other television credits include performances on The Late Show with David Letterman, Hollywood Squares and guest appearances on Cosby And Martial Law.
In his spare time, Kevin James enjoys touring the country performing his stand-up comedy. Born on April 26 and raised in Stony Brook, New York, Kevin now resides in Los Angeles.
