LESLIE NORRIS
Comedienne Leslie Norris explains her vocation choice by saying, 'I didn't choose comedy, it chose me!" The former beauty pageant queen was actively pursuing a singing and acting career when comedy "chose" her. After being named first runner-up in both Miss Georgia and Miss Florida contests, Norris went to work for Disney. A native of Episcopal, Florida, Norris sang in various Disney Productions before moving to Los Angeles, "I was Miss Pensacola, Miss Orlando, then 11 moved to California and became "Misled!"
Norris accepted several roles in national television shows as well but her humorous recollections of her pageant experiences started her on her career opening in Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles and Atlantic City. In 1992 she was awarded the prestigious honor of becoming a Grand Finalist on Star Search. Norris has performed at major concert venues and corporate events and her TV credits include HBO, A&E, Lifetime, Fox and Showtime.
Norris now balances marriage and motherhood with her career and brings a humorous perspective to her life experiences. Norris exuberantly recalls how she knew she finally found Mr. Right. " I searched this whole world to find that one special man who can say those three special words, I have money."
Norris combines her acting abilities, musical parodies and audience participation and most of all her own singing voice and personality to create a show that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. Norris is a "sure thing" at corporate functions across the country and has performed for some of the best i.e., Shell, Mattel, Mobile and Pepsi just to name a few.
