PAM MATTESON
Hysterical Vocal Impressionist
After witnessing PAM MATTESON'S hysterical vocal impressions and side-splitting stand-up comedy, one comes away from her performance wondering exactly which stage, film or television star she does NOT impersonate.
The multi-talented Ms. Matteson has been bringing down the house at corporate, convention, casino and club venues across the nation with outrageous imitations of some of show business' greatest legends, including a duet by JUDY GARLAND and GOLDIE HAWN and a raucous rendition of "Rock-A-Bye Baby" by mother Whitney Houston. Matteson doing Lauper doing "Girls Just Want to Whine" is a classic, as is Cher's uproarious "Tongue Aerobics" (complete with barbell!)
With a solid background in voice, dance and drama, including studies with Lee Strassberg and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Pam brings to each performance a powerful assortment of legendary theatrical favorites such as LIZA MINELLI, BETTE DAVIS, MERYL STREEP and DEBRA WINGER, as well as musical favorites OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN, BERNADETTE PETERS, PAT BENETAR and DIONNE WARWICK to name just a few.
Matteson's theatrical credits include the national touring company of ANNIE, MAN OF LA MANCHA, SHENANDOAH, COMPANY, ALL NIGHT STRUT and THE RED BLUE GRASS WESTERN FLYER at the famed Goodspeed Opera House. It was while touring that Matteson decided to fill her evenings off polishing her stand-up routines at local comedy clubs. The result has been a runaway career with appearances on some of TV and Cable's top comedy shows such as "The Tonight Show," "An Evening at the lmprov," "Comic Strip Live," Fox's "Sunday Comics" and Showtime's "Pair of Jokers."
PAM MATTESON brings us all the once and future legends, the wild and wacky women who have filled the screen for the past fifty years. Just think of her as a sexy, singing, one-woman film festival!
