ROBERT CAIT George Carlin With A Yarmulke, But Without The Bad Words
Robert Cait is a comedian, actor and screenwriter whose award-winning talent continues to touch various media. From voice-overs for commercials and cartoons to live and televised stand-up performances and a new DVD called Kosher Not Kosher, Cait’s career continues to grow through his favorite pastime - laughter.
Robert Cait brings his audience a sophisticated and edgy sense of humor. As an accomplished voice-over actor, Cait has performed in countless films, radio and television series and recognizable commercials such as the voice of “Duke the Dog” for Bush’s Baked Beans, “Morris the Cat,” for 9 Lives Cat food, "Boris Badenov" for Bullwinkle cartoons, "Norm the Genie" for Nickelodeon’s Fairly Odd Parents and more. Cartoons on Nickelodeon and the Cartoon Network are just a few of the countless number of shows that count on Robert Cait to entertain children through his likable and comical voice-overs. His comedy is clean enough for his own “bubbie” (Jewish Grandmother) to watch, while still connecting to a wide demographic. He has been lauded by critics for his with stand-up on MTV or on A&E’s Evening at the Improv, as well as for his opening act in Las Vegas for Dennis Miller.
Robert Cait has been in several films honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. From the Oscar® winning Best Feature Documentary A Long Way Home to the Dreamworks Oscar® nominated Best Animated feature Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, he has impressed producers with his wide interpretive range.
Many fans may remember Robert Cait fondly as the lead actor in Comedy Central’s Married Life, in which he was nominated for the Cable Ace Award’s Best Comedy Mini-Series. Howard Stern even gave him homage, awarding him the prized “F-Emmy” for his brilliant Billy Crystal impersonation on his radio show. Robert’s professional accomplishments, level of performance and intelligent material, combined with his deep appreciation for his Jewish roots, is reflected in his hilarious, unique and memorable comedy. His ability to speak Hebrew, Yiddish and work "kosher clean" makes Robert one of the most sought after comedians performing today.
Available in all the right places from Amazon.com to the coolest Judaica stores on each corner of Middle America, Robert Cait’s new DVD release, Kosher Not Kosher gives a double-sided take on how we can laugh at ourselves. Whether it’s about taking a walk on the wrong side of the border or deciding where to send your kids to school, Cait pokes fun of everyone and everything, making it ok to howl out loud. A fervent Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan and a father of three, Robert Cait’s comedy offers clean and funny jokes that can be safely enjoyed and repeated at any neighbor’s bar mitzvah or barbeque.
Comments On Robert Cait:
THE CRITICS HAVE SPOKEN:
"2 Groisseh Thumbs Way Up!!!!"
"4 Magen-Davids!!!!"
Dear Fellow Shluchim:
Robert Cait has performed for us at Chabad of the Valley on several occasions and has brought the house down. I have also had the pleasure to see him perform at a very elegant local day school trustee banquet and he was unbelievably great.
I highly recommend that you consider Robert Cait as the entertainment for your Chabad events. He is a wonderful performer, a good friend, a terrific congregant, a profound student of Chassidus -- and a very, very funny guy.
-Rabbi Joshua B. Gordon Chabad of the Valley-
Robert Cait is a very talented comedian in the regular show biz world (i.e. seen on MTV, A&E, Comedy Central and has appeared in concert with Dennis Miller in Las Vegas). He has entertained us here in LA at various banquets for Jewish causes Modern Orthodox and Chabbad and those audience have really responded.
In addition, he and I are in discussions about a DVD which JMG would distribute.
His comedy is modern and topical, not old fashioned or cliché Jewish humor….Kind of like (clean) George Carlin with a Kippah.
He’s very flexible and knowledgeable about different denominational Jewish audiences, speaks Hebrew and Yiddish, and frankly I think he is extremely funny.
Best,
-David McLees Jewish Music Group-
The most important part of being a comedian is being able to relate to the background of the audience. This describes Robert. He understands the Jewish crowd - from the very frum to the very secular - with all their nuances, or if you prefer - "michigasin" because he grew up in a warm, practicing and knowledgeable Jewish environment and continues to provide such an atmosphere with his own family.Personally, I can attest that Robert is a very sweet and personable man, and a very loving husband and father who gets me to laugh every time I speak with him.
Whether it was a fundraiser, a communal holiday event, or an informal get together, Robert always brought down the house.
I highly recommend him for all Jewish communal events where a comedy routine is part of the program.

To Whom It May Concern:
Robert Cait performed at our annual synagogue dinner in 2004. I can only tell you that without Robert, our dinner would have been a bust. He took a bland evening and turned it into a lively event filled with hysterical laughter. He was both funny and tasteful, which is a difficult thing to do for most comedians. Especially as our audience is Orthodox, it has been very difficult in the past to find clean comedians who are sensitive to the religious nature of our audience. Robert knew which lines couldn't be crossed for our audience and all of his material was therefore funny and appropriate.
I would not hesitate to recommend Robert Cait for any event you are having. He is a talented stand-up comic and will make your event a real success.
Sincerely,
-Rabbi Daniel Korobkin Kehillat Yavneh Los Angeles, CA-
To Whom It May Concern,
I've had the opportunity to see Robert Cait perform here in our community and I must say that he is very funny and entertaining. He has a uniquely Jewish humor that is "kosher" (that is, non-offensive) and appropriate for a wide range of audience, both religious and secular. I would highly recommend him and hope that he continues to brings laughs to Jews all over the world.

THE FOLLOWING ARE COMMENTS FROM THE PARENTS TEACHER COUNCIL OF ASSOCIATED HEBREW DAY SCHOOLS IN TORONTO, CANADA, AFTER THEIR GALA EVENT AT THE THE LEAH POSLUNS THEATER STARRING ROBERT CAIT.
My husband and I were in hysterics the whole show. Even having gone through the day school system in South Africa , we could appreciate the humor.
Well done to all involved.

Good morning Ladies,
I would like to say that I did manage to sell a few tickets and we even brought along a couple who have no connections whatsoever to the school. I have to tell you, they did not stop laughing (crying?!?!) the WHOLE EVENING. They were so impressed by the food and especially by Robert Cait! I think we could all relate to his wonderful take on Hebrew teachers, Hebrew school (day or otherwise) and Chabadniks! So I just want to say that even people without an AHS connection had a wonderful time! Kudos again to all!
-Julie Gonik-
Hi Ladies!
Just wanted to wish you (and the entire committee) a Yasher Koach on a job well done! The evening was fantastic! The food was outstanding and well presented, and the room looked great. The auction was very well done and quite entertaining! Robert was so much fun!! His humour applies to any Jewish Day School, so even if you didn't go to AHS, it was as if he went to my school! I am sure the CHAT volunteers got a kick out of it too.
The evening went beautifully and all of your hard work really paid off. Mazel tov !
