WIL SHRINER
Writer, Producer, Comedian
When it comes to being ready for anything, Wil Shriner is busy putting his time and many talents in the right direction. As a director, comedian, actor, writer, producer, and host, there is never a shortage of projects to keep him busy.
Wil Shriner kicks off the 2001 fall season with a full plate of shows, directing numerous episodes of NBC'S Frasier as well as numerous episodes of CBS's Becker, he adds ABC's MY Wife and Kids, and becomes the main series director of the WB's Raising Dad to this years list.
In the past couple of years Wil Shriner has become one of the hot new sitcom directors with episodes of Norm, Two Guys and a Girl, Ladies Man and the season finale of Everybody Loves Raymond. He also won the Humanitas Award for a Frasier episode that sensitively dealt with racism.
This past November, Wil Shriner directed and wrote the Bill Gates comedy video shown at all of Mr. Gate's public appearances. In February, he produced and wrote the Microsoft Windows 2000 launch, the largest product launch in Microsoft's history.
Wil Shriner has also written and will produce a one-hour comedy special The Club Owner for HBO.
As an actor Wil Shriner has 12 films to his credit, including the Academy Award nominated film Peggy Sue Got Married directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Wil Shriner has also made dozens of appearances on television shows like HBO's Dream On, and NBC's Search and Rescue.
Wil Shriner continues to perform his stand up comedy across the country and in numerous corporate environments. Wil Shriner has over 50 appearances with David Letterman, Jay Leno, Bill Maher and Johnny Carson to his credit. He has appeared at dozens of casinos in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City and Reno with: Joan Rivers, Jerry Seinfeld, John Denver, Loretta Lynn, Tom Jones, The Gatlins, Neil Sedaka and Jay Leno.
Over the years, Wil Shriner has hosted hundreds of hours of television shows, including his own Emmy nominated talk show, The Wil Shriner Show. He has hosted two series on HGTV, That's Home Entertainment and On Location. For five years, Wil Shriner was seen as a regular correspondent and guest host on ABC's popular daytime show Home. He has also hosted live shows on ABC, CBS, NBC, Arts & Entertainment, HGTV and a number of Disney specials.
In the meantime, Wil Shriner keeps busy working with many E-commerce and high technology companies as a spokesman, producer and comedian. Wil Shriner's clientele include Microsoft, WebTV, and ATVEF as well as Optika, RCA, Gemstar, Iomega, Engage, Canon and Caesar's Palace to name a few.
