BECKY BLANEY
America's leading lady magician adds her southern comedy charm to every hit performance. A former Miss Texas, Becky Blaney has toured the world capturing every type of audience. Major corporations, colleges, cruise ships and Las Vegas revues are all dazzled by her special magic.
Becky Blaney's first magic performance, at age three, was with the aid of her father, a world-renowned magician and creator of illusions. She was able to read the minds of visitors to the Blaney home with an age-old trick. Becky Blaney performed her own magic shows through her college years, winning many talent contests. Becky Blaney was the first female to win the international Brotherhood of Magicians Contest in 1975. She was featured on To Tell The Truth as a result. Blaney's winning ways continued as she captured the first place talent award at the Miss Texas Pageant.
Working next as a singing telegram professional, Becky Blaney introduced her own brand of comedy to audiences. Blaney expanded her talents as an emcee for the Chinese Acrobat shows. Produced at theme parks, Becky and The Chinese Acrobats toured the country. Becky Blaney then started the long journey in the relatively new comedy club field. Starting as an emcee, she quickly moved to headliner status at many of the nation's most popular clubs, Catch A Rising Star, The Punchline and The Improv.
Becky Blaney appears on national television; Evening At The Improv, The Statler Brothers, Comedy Central, Lois and Clarke, Into The Night, has recently co-staffed in Valentino's Magic Revue, Playboy Girls of Rock & roll, Crazy Girls, and Comedy Cabaret in Las Vegas. Blaney opens for headlining bands and country western stars. Becky Blaney is spontaneous, talented, a joy to watch and always adds that special Southern Charm to every performance.
